When should you ask?
If you enjoyed the meeting, there is no need for an artificial waiting period. A short message that evening or the next day is clear and appreciative: “I enjoyed our evening and would love to see you again.” Then make a specific suggestion.
Ideas that build connection
Pick up something from your first conversation: the street-food market they mentioned, a film, a favourite dish or a park neither of you knows. Other good ideas include mini-golf, cooking together, a small exhibition, flea market plus breakfast, a bike ride, quiz night or coffee followed by a walk.

Direct: “I’d love to see you again. How about that market you mentioned on Thursday?” · Casual: “Round two? If the answer stays vague
It is completely fine to ask clearly once. If you repeatedly get “maybe” without a counter-suggestion, give space. Interest shows not only in words but in someone making time. You do not need to convince anyone.
